FREDDIE WOODMAN 5
Should have done better for Blackburn’s opener and his indecision almost allowed Ben Brereton to score after the restart. Didn’t inspire confidence.
KYLE NAUGHTON 7
The best of Swansea’s defenders in the opening half as he snuffed out a number of attacks from the home side. Made plenty of clearances to stem the tide.
BEN CABANGO 7
Looked nervy in the opening half and got away with a few sloppy clearances. Improved as the game wore on though and made so many clearances and interceptions.
MARC GUEHI 6
Took a risk early on but looked fairly solid before being withdrawn at half time.
CONNOR ROBERTS 6
Long throw-ins caused a few problems, although he was unable to carry much of a threat on the ball in the final third. Solid defensively.
MATT GRIMES – Star Man 7
Made some very important tackles and interceptions in the middle of the park. Did well, unlike most others.
JAY FULTON 5
Not his best showing. Wasteful on the ball at times before being replaced in the second half.
CONOR HOURIHANE 5
Decent on the ball at times, although he didn’t really create enough. Subbed in the second half.
JAKE BIDWELL 5
A shot spell in the first half aside, it was a tough evening for Bidwell. Was ran ragged on numerous occasions.
ANDRE AYEW 6
Had little in the way of chances but converted another penalty to bring Swansea level. The only one who looked even remotely like threatening.
JAMAL LOWE 5
Barely had a sniff and gave away some needless fouls which did little to help the Swans. Subbed.
Joel Latibeaudiere (for Guehi) – Slotted in well after being introduced at the break. Great tackle to thwart Bradley Dack shortly after half time. 6
Korey Smith (for Fulton) – Decent in the middle. 6
Yan Dhanda (for Hourihane) – Didn’t get on the ball much and was well off target with two efforts from distance. 6
Wayne Routledge (for Lowe) – Some decent moments, but too late to make a telling impact. 6
