FREDDIE WOODMAN 7
Untroubled in the first half and commanded his box well when required. Didn’t really have a tough save to make. Clean sheet number 17 in the league this season.
KYLE NAUGHTON 7
Very neat and tidy in truth. Did his defensive duties well enough before being forced off in the second half.
BEN CABANGO – Star Man 8
Made stacks of clearances to ensure Woodman wasn’t troubled in the opening half and headed home his fourth goal of the campaign to give Swansea the lead after the restart. Great display.
MARC GUEHI 8
Made his fair share of clearances and tackles, looking typically untroubled in doing so. Another fine performance.
CONNOR ROBERTS 8
The Welshman carried a real threat on the right flank, both with the ball at his feet and in his hands from long throw-ins. Did a lot of defensive work too.
MATT GRIMES 8
Did plenty of defensive work and looked to lead by example by being bold when going forward. So many important interventions and tackles.
CONOR HOURIHANE 6
The Irishman was very quiet in the opening half and couldn’t really have an impact after the restart – aside from his fine delivery for the goal – before being subbed.
YAN DHANDA 7
Struggled to make an impact for long spells, although some of his through balls were sublime to say the least. Some flashes of brilliance before he was hooked.
JAKE BIDWELL 6
Some decent deliveries from the left at times but composure wasn’t always there. Solid.
ANDRE AYEW 6
Wasn’t able to have an impact in the first half but was far more influential in the second half. Despite failing to threaten up top, the Ghanaian’s defensive work was so important.
JAMAL LOWE 6
Had Swansea’s best chances in the first half, although his composure deserted him for his second attempt. A really encouraging display where only the finishing was lacking. Subbed.
Korey Smith (for Dhanda) – Slotted in well as Swansea saw out the game. 6
Jay Fulton (for Hourihane) – Made a difference in the middle as Swansea regianed some control after making a pair of changes. 6
Joel Latibeaudiere (for Naughton) – Looked good on the ball and put his body on the line too. 6
