A man has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm following a late night incident in an area of popular bars and takeaways.
Armed officers rushed to Uplands in Swansea on the night of February 13 this year following reports of an assault at a “premises” in Gwydr Square.
A 37-year-old man was subsequently taken to Morriston Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
German national Samer El-Hussein has been charged with maliciously wounding Mohamad Kokash with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident.
The 28-year-old, of Burrows Road, Sandfields, Swansea, was released on bail following a brief hearing before magistrates, and will appear next at Swansea Crown Court on November 30.
