Liverpool agree £36m striker fee as Aston Villa look to gazump deal and former Cardiff City man on the move again

Here’s your round-up of all the latest transfer news and rumours from across the Championship for Tuesday, September 22.

Man United receive boost in Brooks chase

Manchester United have received a boost in their chase for Bournemouth star David Brooks.

The Cherries’ relegation from the Premier League has sparked questions over a number of their first team stars, with Callum Wilson and Nathan Ake already heading out the door.

Brooks could yet be the next big name to depart, although his alleged £50m price tag suggests Bournemouth are desperate to keep him at the Vitality Stadium.

Man United have long been linked with a move, but appeared to fall behind Premier League rivals Leicester City in the chase for his signature.

However, the MEN now claim Leicester’s move for Turkish international Cengiz Under means the Foxes may well have shifted their transfer priorities, potentially clearing the way for United to make a move.

Derby open Duncan talks

Derby County are reportedly in advanced talks over a move for Fiorentina’s Bobby Duncan.

The 19-year old left Liverpool last summer in a bid to find regular first team football, but hasn’t played a single senior game for the Serie A outfit.

According to Sky Sports, Derby want the teenager to initially link up with their under-23s, but hope that the advice and mentoring of Wayne Rooney will help him develop into a future star.

Liverpool agree Sarr fee

Liverpool have reportedly agreed a fee for Watford forward Ismaila Sarr.

According to France Football, the Reds have reached an agreement worth up to £36m for the Watford star, who was also linked to Manchester United.

Talks over the 22-year old’s potential salary have reportedly already begun, amid suggestions that he could earn £6.4m a year.

But there is a suggestion Aston Villa could yet gazump the move with a bigger bid and the promise of regular first team football, something he won’t get at Anfield.

Morrison on the move again

Former Cardiff City star Ravel Morrison has signed for Dutch side ADO Den Haag until the end of the season.

The 27-year old was released by Sheffield United at the beginning of the summer, and this move will see him link up with the 11th club of his career.

Den Haag technical director Martin Jol told the club’s official website: ‘Ravel has actually not quite fulfilled his great promise.

‘That’s partly due to the fact that he went to West Ham United and major Championship clubs early in his career.

‘His forays in other countries were not conducive to continuity in his career, but we hope that Ravel can show his qualities on the Eredivisie podium.’
