Swansea City have opened talks with Jody Morris as part of their search for a new manager.
Morris is understood to be one of two candidates under consideration, after John Eustace decided to pull out of the running.
MK Dons boss Russell Martin is believed to be other man under consideration.
QPR assistant manager Eustace emerged as the early front-runner almost as soon as Steve Cooper’s departure was confirmed, and seemed ready to be unveiled as the club’s next manager ahead of the new season.
Cooper left the club by mutual consent last week, and the Swans had clearly hoped to have a successor installed swiftly, but Eustace turned down the job due to personal reasons.
Cameron Toshack and Michael Appleton, who has just returned form a short break after recently being diagnosed with testicular cancer, are among the other names to be mentioned recently.
The bookies have their own idea, having now installed John Terry as the clear favourite following his departure from Aston Villa on Monday, although Swans sources have once again poured cold water on the possibility of a move.
