Harley-Davidson unveils plans for new ebike brand Serial 1

Get your motor… charging.

Harley-Davidson has unveiled new details about their Serial 1 ebike brand, set to hit the road in the spring.

Four models of the battery-powered bikes will be available in the US and Germany to start, ranging in price from $3,399 to $4,999, according to The Verge.

The top-of-the-line model, the Rush/Cty Speed, tops out at 28 miles per hour and, with a six-and-a-half hour full charge, can cover up to 115 miles, depending on the terrain.

The somewhat more wallet-friendly Mosh/Cty, setting you back $3,399, can hit 20 miles per hour, but fully charges in a little under five hours.

The venerable Milwaukee-based motorcycle company’s entrance into the far quieter ebike arena comes amid flagging stock prices and layoffs spurred by the coronavirus and resulting economic downturn.
