Fulton on Wednesday win

“It was a tough period that we were in – I think three 1-0 defeats could have gone differently and we could have picked up points somewhere,” said Fulton.

“However I think in the last two games we have looked a real attacking threat.

“I thought it was a good performance against Sheffield Wednesday. They are obviously fighting for their place in the division, but we played well.

“Jamal took his goal really well after some fantastic work from Andre, and it was a good time for me to get my goal. It let the game die down a little bit and gave us that breathing space going into the final ten minutes.

“I have wanted to add a few goals to my tally, so I’m happy to get on the scoresheet and make it three for the season so far. I must give credit to Connor Roberts for the assist though – he came on and crossed to me with his second touch of the game.

“So it was another clean sheet and three points away from home, so there are plenty of positives to take from it.”
