Every word Swansea City’s Steve Cooper said on Jordan Morris blow, being left short up front and Coventry City

Swansea City boss Steve Cooper says the defeat to Huddersfield Town at the weekend is already out of the system as his side prepare to take on Coventry on Wednesday.

Cooper’s men fell to an unexpected 4-1 defeat at The John Smith’s Stadium, with the loss compounded by injuries to Jordan Morris and Ryan Bennett.

Morris’ season is over after damaging ACL, while Bennett is likely to miss the clash with the Sky Blues with a calf problem.

The defeat was a setback, but Cooper says preparation for the next game at the Liberty will be the same as usual.

“Even if we’d won on the weekend, it’s just about, whatever happens, you start again and prepare for the next game,” he said.

“Coventry had a really good result on the weekend. They’re a team that’s stuck with the way they got promoted from League One with last season. Experienced manager.

“It’s a game we’ve absolutely got to be ready for. We’re at home, we’re starting this spell of playing every three or four days and it’s about survival of the fittest and the toughest as well, both physically and mentally.”
