Swansea City head coach Russell Martin says he “selfishly” wants to experience a first home victory of the season ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with Millwall.
The new man at the helm has yet to taste that winning feeling at the Swansea.com Stadium in his short time in charge in south Wales, but feels Saturday’s draw with Hull City in SA1 shows that his side are on the right path.
The Lions are next up for Martin and Co, and the boss says there is a positive feeling in the camp ahead of the Championship fixture.
“Selfishly, I want to experience it (a home win),” he said.
“We’ve had two clean sheets at home against two opposition that set up differently. We have more passes in the final third than anyone else in the league, which is a good start. We’re really positive about it. The guys enjoyed the performance, and hopefully they’ll continue to grow.”
Martin also updated supporters on the fitness of his squad and gave the latest team news.
