The Championship season is almost upon us.
The league kicks off next weekend ahead of a marathon campaign which will see each team take in 46 games throughout the year.
While transfer activity has been relatively muted in comparison to recent seasons, there have been additions and some are fancied to make a real impression.
We also have three very strong teams in Sheffield United, West Brom and Fulham back in the division and with them come vaunted forward lines.
There are, of course, those players who are well established at this level and they will also want to make their mark this term. But which strikers are fancied to bag the golden boot?
Topping the bookmakers’ odds list is Fulham marksman Aleksandar Mitrovic, a player who can dominate at this level.
His campaign in the Premier League was a bit stop-start after Scott Parker dipped him in and out of the side, however new boss Marco Silva would be unwise to leave the Serb kicking his feet on the sidelines this season.
Another highly fancied striker is Blackburn Rovers’ Adam Armstrong. The forward finished behind only the prolific Ivan Toney last term as the striker scored 33 league goals to fire the Bees to promotion.
Armstrong netted 28 for Rovers and had a stellar campaign and the punters have lumped on him backing that up again this term. That is if he remains at Ewood Park, with Southampton and Watford thought to be interested in lodging a bid for the player.
Next on the list is Cardiff City’s Kieffer Moore, whose debut season in the Welsh capital took in 20 Championship goals.
The prolific Wales striker will be hoping to replicate that white-hot form next term under Mick McCarthy, who will need a big contribution from Moore if his side are to challenge near the top this term.

Alongside Moore is Portuguese forward Lucas Joao, who drilled home 19 goals for Reading last term, while relegated duo Karlan Grant and Rhian Brewster are 16/1.
Brewster shot to prominence in a Swansea City shirt at the back end of the 2019/20 campaign, scoring 11 goals to fire the Swans into the play-offs that year.
He earned a £23m move from Liverpool to Sheffield United that summer, but is yet to score a league goal for the Blades after an underwhelming Premier League campaign up at Bramall Lane.
But his 11 goals in 22 games for the Swans is evidence that he can thrive in this division and he will set about proving that is the case this term.
The shortest odds you can get on a current Swans player is Jamal Lowe, who is tipped at 25/1 to finish the division’s top scorer.
