Benue set to recruit 2,000 staff for five tertiary institutions in the state

The Benue State Government has disclosed that it has approved the recruitment of 2,000 teaching and non-teaching staff to fill existing vacancies in its five tertiary institutions in the state. The state Commissioner for Information, Mrs. Ngunan Adingi, disclosed this on Thursday, June 3, while briefing newsmen after the State Executive Council meeting in Makurdi.

She gave the names of the institutions that will benefit from the recruitment as Colleges of Education, Katsina-Ala and Oju; Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo; Akawe Torkula Polytechnic, Makurdi; and Akperan Orshi Polytechnic, Yandev.

The commissioner added that a committee headed by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Dennis Ityavyar, had been set up to handle the recruitment process.
